Welcome to Tai Chi for Health Pittsburgh. My name is Gurney Bolster. I have launched Tai Chi for Health Pittsburgh as a way of sharing my life-long passion for movement and to help people recognize the benefits of Tai Chi. An ancient mind-body exercise from China, Tai Chi is known to relieve stress; to improve balance, agility and flexibility; to increase body awareness; and to bolster overall health and wellbeing. Tai Chi teaches us to respect the body and to feel whole, to move efficiently, and to live in harmony with our surroundings. Gentle yet powerful, this mindful movement practice is a welcome complement to Western exercise and medicine.
